GateAround is a service provided by SkyTech for airport, airline, and ground-handling operations. This policy explains how the GateAround mobile app and website handle information.
Information we handle
- Account and authentication information: account name and email address, organization and role, Firebase account identifier, sign-in provider, and session/security records. Passwords are handled by the authentication service; GateAround does not log passwords or authentication tokens.
- Operational information: flight schedules and identifiers, airport and gate details, resource assignments, operational events and reports, and information used to calculate or review operational impact and settlement statements. Organizations using GateAround determine what operational information they enter and which members can access it.
- App usage and diagnostics: app navigation and selected feature interactions, experiment exposure, app/device and operating-system details, crash diagnostics, and performance traces. Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance are used for product operation and reliability. A Firebase user identifier may associate analytics and diagnostics with the same app account. Event instrumentation does not include email addresses, passwords, API tokens, or request bodies.
- Notifications: if you opt in, the app receives a push token and notification preferences so it can deliver operational announcements and open the relevant app screen.
- Website preferences: the website stores your language and theme choices in your browser's local storage.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate accounts, provide shared operational views and reports, deliver opted-in notifications, protect the service, and understand app reliability and feature usage. We do not use the app to serve advertising or track people across other companies' apps and websites. We do not sell personal information.
Service providers and access
Google Firebase provides authentication, analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring, remote configuration, and push messaging. Google or Apple may process account information when you choose their sign-in options. These providers process information to operate their services under their own terms and privacy policies. Operational information is available to authorized users in the organizations that use GateAround, according to their roles and access scopes.
Retention and deletion
We keep account information while the account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can initiate account deletion in the app's account settings or contact us. Account credentials, personal account information, sessions, and linked sign-in identities are removed through the deletion process. Operational and audit records may be retained in a form that no longer identifies the deleted account, for service integrity and recordkeeping. Firebase diagnostic and analytics data is retained according to the configured service settings and provider policies.
Security and transfers
GateAround uses encrypted network connections and access controls. Authentication secrets are protected by the relevant authentication service, and app session tokens are stored in the device's secure storage. Service providers may process information in countries where they or their infrastructure operate.
Your choices and requests
You can choose whether to enable notifications, change the app language, and request account deletion. You may contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Organizations that provide your GateAround account may also be able to help with information managed for their workspace.
Children
GateAround is a business operations service and is not designed for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the service.
